Des Wombat Question

If a player controls a Des Wombat on his/her side of the field and they activate Graverobber. Will they take the 2000 points of damage being that it is not a cost, same being if Immortal of Thunder is sent to the card graveyard.

All you have to do is read the rulings for Des Wombat.

3. "Des Wombat" will protect you against the effect damage of "Graverobber".

Immortal of Thunder is NOT "damage" it is "loss of Life Points"
