Dice jar and Barrel Behind the Door

Can I chain Barrel Behind the Door to the FLIP activation of Dice Jar or is Barrel not appropriate since I don't know whether I'll take damage or not? Also, can I activate Barrel after resolution of Dice Jar's effect damage? In other words, if I end up rolling the lowest and/or my opponent rolls higher or maybe a 6, can I activate Barrel and redirect the effect damage to my opponent?

<Edit**> Never mind- finally pulled up rulings on Dice Jar. Will have to equip deck with Des Wombats instead of Barrel.

By the way, can I activate Dice Re-Roll after resolving the effect of Dice Jar but before effect damage occurs?

You cannot interrupt the resolution of an effect with the activation of another card, so no, you can't do that.

Besides, the rulings tell you when you have to activate "Dice Re-Roll"

You activate "Dice Re-Roll" before you activate the effect which will let you roll a die. Then you can use the effect of "Dice Re-Roll" once during the turn in which you activated it. When you resolve the effect, you negate the result of a die roll and roll again.

So you would have to activate and resolve "Dice Re-Roll" before you flip your "Dice Jar".
