im a bit confused...i went to chinatown today and bought a couple of dark revelation 2 packs...judging by the packaging..(which felt a bit thicker than normal) it looked fake, but when i opened it...all the cards were real..none of them were like out of place from different sets and they had the correct names and the text was normal..they kinda felt different tho...but they had everything.....i even got an ultra rare dark magician of chaos...has anyone else gotten any dark revelations volume 2 packs to see whether i can stop worrying on whether my cards are counterfeit or not...

Be sure to get a nice close-up of the back as well as the top and bottom edges of the pack. They use a very specific sealing method that for some reason is hard to duplicate by the bad people.

Also make absolutely certain it says "KONAMI" on the back of the cards, and not "KONAII" or any other very close rendition. See, they'll get sued even worse if they use KONAMI's name on the counterfeits.

well it does say "KONAMI" on the back with the little r in the circle..and it does feel kinda rough and kinda hard to bend....not like some counterfeits ive seen...im scanning the dmoc rite now...

Check to see on the back where they were printed. It's probably a European version, which we get in our local shops. There is always usually a European version of the reprint sets and structure decks.
The packaging is exactly similar and the description of the cards seem the same as well that you mentioned.

So compare with one of the original Dark Revelations 2 and the newer one for the location of printing. For european I believe it usually says Belgium on it. Just because it's printed somewhere else doesn't neccessarily mean it's fake ;)

Certainly looks identical to the packs we get here in Ireland, do they actually do different packaging (artwork, obviously the location of print will differ) for the US for some sets?

and just a note, if they WERE European packs, there would be key differences: the pack on the top corner would not say "English Edition", and instead of DR2-ENxxx it would be DR2-Exxx.

xxx being the card number of course.......

Do the packs say "European Edition" or something else?

That used to be true that the European English used to say "E" instead of "EN" but I do recall that there was a worldwide policy or something released that all "English" cards, no matter where they are from will be called "EN". Also that is why packs also say "English Edition" instead of where it used to be "For US and Canada Only English Edition" and "For Europe Only English Edition". It allows all English cards (except Asian-English with different backs) to be played around the world.

Also remember that English wasn't the only European edition, there was also German, French and Spanish, probably one or two others that I can't think of at the moment. So DR2-E, DR2-D, DR2-F, DR2-S would also be possible.
