I know most people have their favorite card they collect, for whatever reason. I never was this way, at leas, not consciously. Now it seems I've become the inadvertent collector of Jam Breeding Machine. I can't get rid of the durn things. :dj_eek That said, it is one of those cards that Ive fervently tried to make work, even going so far as to make Slime Tokens to use whenever I do build a deck with it. So, any copies of cards you irrationally collect for whatever reason?

(NOTE: The title is an MJ reference. One of his old songs from the early eighties or seventies.)

I kept getting these Legendary Black Belts for some reason out of TLM. 5 of them in total. Same with UFORoid, of which I have 6. Oh, and Greed. It got kind of creepy by the time I hit #9.

Unfortunately I have never run across either UFORoid Fighter nor Master Monk, in order to actually try them out.

I do however, love to play an occasional Greed deck. Luckily for me, they fit extremely well with my Hiro's Shadow Scout cards.
 
Mataza the Zapper was the bane of my existance for a long time. I had almost 50 of them at one point. Mataza and I have since parted, and I wish him and his clones well at the Howard County, MD dump :D

Of course, I didn't acquire them on purpose, so this probably doesn't count. Let's see ... I think I have the most Polymerizations "on purpose". Over 100 of them. Why? I have no idea.

I also have a LOT of Winged Kuribohs (holo version), but again not on purpose :D
 
Funny you should mention this....I don't have a paticular card that I collect but I know a guy who comes to all the Iowa regionals who can't get enough Battle Footballers....why? <shrug> Ya got me! I'm sure there is a story behind everyone who has a card that they can't seem to get enough of!

One of our members, Supreme Switchblade, collected Archfiends for a while so that he could make a chess board and use them as chess pieces....a fun thing to do I thought.
 
I collect Rescue Cats. It started way back when FET was released. I bought so many packs at the time and found that these kawaii kitties were actually good (and one of the set's short prints) that I just started a collection. Currently, I have around 70 or so. Too bad Last Will got restricted to 1...
 
I suppose for me its Goblin Elite Attack Force, and Slate Warrior. I have owned 6 Slates before (now at 3) and I have 6 GEATF's now (has been at 7-9). I've pulled 'em, won them, etc.

Common...don't really have one. Giant Orc, maybe?
 
for some reason..i've been getting a lot of Super Electromagnetic Voltech Dragons...and also a lot of nitro unit ....
 
i like collecting gren maju da eiza's because there my faviote card of all although most of them i cannot find most of them now i must have 6 or 7 left now, i want more now, but it would be point less to buy IOC or DR2 for the sake of one card!!!
 
I collect Jirai Gumo's and Bokiochi's. My first deck ran 3 gumo's as that was the highest no tribute attack at the time.

Now if you guys are interested in getting more of those commons, drop me a email, I have about 20,000 commons and I probably have a few of those cards you are looking for.
 
Now that I think about it, I do try to collect Solar Flare Dragons deliberately. Just haven't seen any lately.
 
Me? Anything that remotely has a Dark Magician on it, or has Dark Magicianish artwork--- See my trade thread for what I mean--

I also have this spot Dark Scorpion cards, the Card Knights, and the Ban list...

haha..the only way i know that song is from Rush Hour 2...sorry if im kinda calling u guys old... :p..haha..
 
At first, it took me months to get hold of 3 ojama trios. Then the chazz packs came out, and it seems that every pack of them I now buy has a trio in them.

As to card copies I actually collect, I am quite partial to the hard to find mokey mokey. Mokey Mokey King however, is what is cluttering up my binder
 
Speaking of Dark Magician....I've been looking for a 1st Ed. Dark Magician LOB-005 for well over a year now. Can't seem to find one anywhere. Very difficult to find even from dealers....if anyone has one they'd be willing to trade / sell please let me know.
 
Card wise for yugi back in the day it was Kycoo, I ended up with over 12 kycoo's at one point in time, and it wasnt even on purpose i just ended up with them. so it was kool i was never able to get fully rid of it, eventually i grew to like the little bugger and started making abuse decks with it.

For magic it is this card:

It is the one card i like the most and it is because of its artwork not for what it does, i mean come on its a basic-Land /Forest for that matter so they arnt hard to come buy, but for some reason i like this image so much that in all my decks when ever i use forest, i use this image. XD

beyond that i also collected Underground DJ cd's and Rave Flyers. My wall was once filled with flyers from 2001-2004[back when i used to party]

now its filled with Magic Posters / Anime wallscrolls.

another thing I collect is DVD box sets. any of my favorite shows i Collect so far im only missing 1 box set for Ren and Stimpy and 4 box sets for Naruto, 2 for bleach, and 2 for Gunslinger Girl ill eventually finish.

XD Im hardcore in the collection yo. lol
 
I'm just trying to get 3 of everything. Even if they're common. I keep meaning to post my list... one of these days. I know a guy who collected do many Ring of Destructions he uses them as backs for his Beast Deck. He calls it the Lord of the Rings deck. go figure.
