Ok, I can't find a definitive answer to this. Looking for an official response.

To me a duel is 1 of 3 games, and a match win is the result of best 2 of 3.

When my opponent gets Exodia, does he win 2 of 3 automatically? Or just 1 of 3?

I've looked all over for this answer...I must be stupid to not know the difference but I'd appreciate some help.

There's only one card that I know of that can win an entire Match.  "Victory Dragon", but its not a Tournament Legal Card.

Ultimate Victory Dragon
ATK:  2400
DEF:  3000
This card can not be special summoned. You must sacrifice 3 dragon type monsters from your field in order to sacrifice summon this card. When this card does a direct attack to your opponent's life points and drops it to 0, the controller of this card wins the match.

Here's the most current version of Exodia the Forbidden One's effect:

MC1-EN001
Exodia the Forbidden One
DARK/Spellcaster/3/1000/1000
Effect: When you have "Right Leg of the Forbidden One", "Left Leg of the Forbidden One", "Right Arm of the Forbidden One" and "Left Arm of the Forbidden One" in addition to this card in your hand, you win the Duel.

And you are right.

1 Duel = 1 Game (8000 LP, first to loose those points looses)

1 Match = 3 Duels (best 2 out of 3 wins the Match)

Must your opponent's lifepoint drop to exactly zero? Which means, if your opponent has less than 2400 lifepoint and you bring it to lower than zero. Do you still win the match?

It's not a tournament legal card... none of the 3 "Instant Win" cards are, so there's no real point in asking about it.

However I will say this. If you have only 100 life points left and your opponent attacks you directly with "Jinzo", what's your total after the attack? (Hint: "0" and "Game Over").
