February 2006 Shonen Jump Promo

I get mines in subscription, not to mention how is it a waste? You are getting a card you normally would not be able to for $5 plus you get some reading material. That is like saying buying the BEUD issue would be stupid.

Exactly. I do not bother going to SP anymore. Wasting $20 to get a card I will get a few months for free in my SJ.

I get my copy of cards from a friend of mine. so it doesnt matter.

Im also a shonen jump subscriber so eventually i get whats ever with my copy of the book.

which I enjoy reading, I wished they started to put on Death Note that is a really good manga.

I bought both books and now i need to buy number 3 because its a really good book. lol

Or those of us in countries where SP events don't get the promos because Shonen Jump supposedly isn't sold in this region of the world. (I use eBay instead though, but I know others who'll get the mag for the promo)

That's what I did. I still go to the Sneaks; I just do drafts instead. I still get the cards I want, and thanks to my subscription I still get the promo. By the way, anyone want an EotS? I got 1 for trade now.
 
The only thing I wish I could have done was bought 2 more copies of the BEUD magazine aside from my subscriber issue. It will be a pain trying to get him in the future given he was going for a stupidity amount of money when he was released in SJ and people bought it stupid like on eBay for big bucks.
 
I am a SJ Subscriber and I think I've only read one issue. I get it strictly for the cards and I just got my Obelisk in the mail last week. I like Anime. But I just don't read much. I go to the Sneak Previews. Usually for the interaction of players and friends or to work(judging). Shonen Jump is a valuable source, as all of you have pointed out. I was very glad to send my $30 check when I stumbled across it for the first time. Anyone know where to get VS System TCG promos on a regular basis, or Magic the Gathering? I love both those games as well.
 
MTG, you have to go to Pre Releases or be in the Player rewards program.
VS, Some were released in the "House of M" series. so basically you have to read certain comics to find certain promos / alternate arts, and it isnt an all the time thing.

Just buy the BEUD promo with the two Dark Revelation 2 packs at your local Walmart for $10.00.
 
But that one is a different rarity than the one that came with the Jump. The Promo you suggest is the Ultra Rare. The Jump Promo is a Secret Rare. Important difference to some people...lol.
