Final Countdown and Solar Flare Dragon

Quick question. I am playing a Final Countdown deck. It is my opponent's turn, and when he ends, it will be the end of turn 20, granting me the alternate win. However, he has a Solar Flare Dragon face-up and I am at 500 Life Points. What is the outcome of the duel?

I dunno. I would think your foe would win. Final Countdown gives you the win after 20 turns have passed. Solar Flare Dragon would inflict the damage in the End Phase, before the turn has passed.

Orrrr, would these both be considered simultaneous effects that would both occur in the End Phase and your opponent would have priority of placement?

This is where my confusion is coming from as well. But it does say that "after 20 turns have passed." So I'm thinking I die in the End Phase before the turn ends completely.

I agree. The End Phase can't end until both players agree. Before that can happen, any unresolved effects must ..well: resolve. In this case Solar Flare Dragon. That would put you at zero before both players agreed that the turn was over and Final Countdown would count the turn passed.

Jumped over to Netrepâ„¢ and pulled this ruling for Final Countdown:

You win when the 20th turn ends, before the Draw Phase of the 21st turn
Sounds to me like Solar Flare Dragon's effects would reduce your LP before Final Countdown kicks in.
