Goblin Elite Attack Force
Effect Monster - EARTH/Fiend
4-Star
ATK: 2200, DEF: 1500
"If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. This card's battle position cannot be changed until the end of your next turn, except with a card effect."
No published rulings.
For new ban-list week, today we take a look at a very powerful, very useful monster from CRV. EARTH support is good, Necrofood and other Fiend support is quite nice, and impressive stats to boot. So far so good.
Actually, the ATK is what makes it so useful. It stops damn near everything used in today's day and age, save for Jinzo and the Monarchs and a few less common monsters.
The only real drawback to this guy is his effect that switches him to DEF. But at 1500 DEF, it's not all bad. You could use Skill Drain to circumvent this, or other battle position switchers.
There really isn't too much to say about this guy. You can main deck him for added power, and he's nice side-deck material against Berserk Gorillas, Vampire Lords, etc.
Definitely side-deck him, maybe 2. Use him in a Skill Drain beatdown along with Orcs, GAFs, Lei Leis, etc. Use him in a Fiend deck. Use him if you want some extra power.
P.S. - He combos nicely with Spiritual Earth Art - Kurogane.
Advanced: 4.25/5 - lots of good uses here
Traditional: 3.5/5 - not as useful, but still a solid beatstick
Limited: 5/5 - this may have single-handedly won some flights for ya like it did me (except for stupid Cybernetic Magician, mumble mumble)
