Horus LV 8 and spell counters

When my opponent has a Horus LV 8 on the field, if I activate spell cards and he keeps negating them, do monsters that receive spell counters still get them (Skilled, Blood Magician etc)? I couldn't find it... sorry and thanks in advance.

If the spell card is "negated" then there will be no spell counter. Reference:

Skilled Dark Magician You place a Spell Counter on this monster when the Spell Card resolves, so if "Magic Jammer" is used to negate the Spell Card's activation then you do not place a Spell Counter on this monster. But if "Imperial Order" is chained to the Spell Card, you still place a Spell Counter on this monster because the activation of the Spell Card was not negated.
