I read a thread that says if you chain Emergency Provision to Good Goblin Housekeeping, you can draw 6 cards and put back any 2 cards from your hand? How does all this work ? can someone show me the detail, link by link, chain by chain, and why it does what it does? Thanks..... :D

Well, the effect of Good Goblin Housekeeping is a bit confusing for me, but I can tell you how it works.

In the FAQs, it says if you have no copies of Good Goblin Housekeeping in your graveyard, you would only 1 card in this case, and 1 card from your hand is placed at the bottom of your deck.

But in a combo with Emergency Provision, it would resolve like this.

PlayerA: activates Good Goblin Housekeeping
PlayerB passes
PlayerA: chains Good Goblin House Keeping
PlayerB passes
PlayerA: chains Emergency Provision, sending both Good Goblin Housekeeping to the graveyard
Players do not respond
Resolve steps...
Step3: PlayerA gains 3000 Life Points
Step2: PlayerA draws 1 for the effect alone of Good Goblin Housekeeping, then it counts 2 copies of Good Goblin Housekeeping in the graveyard, so 2 +2 more cards are drawn
Step1: PlayerA draws 1 for the effect alone of Good Goblin Housekeeping, then it counts 2 copies of Good Goblin Housekeeping in the graveyard, so 2 +2 more cards are drawn

A total of 6 cards all together

Player A would gain 2000 life points.

Also I think you meant to say he draws "1 + 2 more cards for the 2 GGH in the Graveyard and then places 1 at the bottom of the deck". So 6 are drawn, but only 4 are kept.

And hopefully to elaborate a little more and to use a bit more detailed example:

Player A has GGH1, GGH2, and EP set. (GGH = Good Goblin Housekeeping EP = Emergency Provisions)

Player A activates GGH1.
Player B does not respond.
Player A chains GGH2.
Player B does not respond.
Player A activates EP, sending both GGHs to the Graveyard as the cost.
Player B does not respond.

Chain resolution:
EP resolves, Player A gains 2000 LP for both GGHs sent to Graveyard.
GGH2 resolves, counts the # of GGHs in Graveyard (2) and +1 so Player A draws 3 cards, then puts 1 card at the bottom of his deck.
GGH1 resolves, counts the # of GGHs in Graveyard (2) and +1 so Player A draws 3 cards, then puts 1 card at the bottom of his deck.
Chain is now complete.

Player A drew a total of 6 cards, but only kept 4.

Hope this helps!
