just for a lark - can you think of cards that are/could be misunderstood or mis interpreted? you know - something that kick in the law of un-intended consequences....
one that comes to mind for me is: Breakthrough!
Select 1 six samurai you control. If the selected monster destroys an opponents monster by battle, Great Shogun Shien, and all Six Samurai monsters you control can attack your opponent directly during the battle phase of this turn.
when i read that at the pre release - i thought "they cany really mean it- can they?"
if i was to take it literally...suppose i had 3 6s on my field...attack with 2, then, on 3rd attack, activate breakthrough-destroy a monster- then continue to attack with all 3 AGAIN-DIRECTLY i mean it SAYS ALL... that means every single one!
furthermore - if my opponent tries to suicide into
one of my 6s in his battle phase...i can respond with breakthrough and attack him directly with all my samurai on HIS TURN....
these things cannot be done...unless a card effect allows it...there are no "whose turn" or all other/remaining can attack directly...so we should assume broken cards are no longer allowed out to play and none of these things are doable....but dang - in plain english- it sez you CAN...
and no- i dont really think you can - or should be able to....or that the game actually would allow it...its just that, c'mon - there's room on that card for some more words dont you think?
ok - yer turn...
