Last Turn Deck no more?

I just read the ruling for Jowgen the Spiritualist. :

"¢ While this card is on the field neither player can activate "Scapegoat", "Monster Reborn", "Call of the Haunted", "Magical Hats", "Dedication through Light and Darkness", or any other card that Special Summons a monster.

Would you include Last Turn as a card that can special summon a monster. If that is the case then the player controling Jowgen the Spiritualist then could not activate Last turn.

Is thaat how most of you are interpeting the ruling.
If yes then why didn't UDE include Last Turn as one of the cards listed.

Official Answer:

You may activate Last Turn with Jowgen on the field.

Regen Mummy would be great against that. LOL Seeing as your opponent that played last turn has no defense against you summoning.

EDIT: Follow-up question -- Could your opponent activate Last Turn during your draw phase before you actually draw? Technically until you draw your card you don't enter standby correct? (Not for stalling purposes but simple timing issues)

"Regenerating Mummy" is indeed one of the ways to at least force a draw against a "Last Turn" deck, however, the player who activated "Last Turn" does have several other tricks he/she can use to ensure that the draw is the worse he has to deal with.

well, couldn't you get a win, if they play it before your normal battle phase?

regen hits jowgen, over 1000 damage, game (in normal battle phase, not the "special" battle phase)

That's the thing though. There are many more combos you can use with "Last Turn" than simply "Jowgen the Spiritualist". Jowgen is good and is the easiest one to use, but it isn't the best. If you have him in attack position, yeah you're open to die even by "Sinister Serpent". The trick is to find things that can work with Jowgen or other cards which can be more effective. "The Last Warrior from Another Planet" will force your opponent to only Set a monster so that's a better choice (2 card combo there... Fusilier and Metamorphosis). Or "D. D. Warrior Lady" along with a way to special summon monsters after "Last Turn" resolves ("Return from the Different Dimension" anyone?) Those are just some examples you can use to really make sure you get no worse than the draw if not a win outright.

i ran last turn, so i know you can use loads of stuff, here's some examples:
jowgen (duh)
theban nightmare
bls-eotb
fusilier + metamorphosis
d.d. warrior lady
d.d. assailant
strike ninja chained to last turn, remove opponent's with d.d. something
interdimensional chained to last turn, see above
sasuke samurai #4, if you feel lucky
spirit reaper
waboku
searchers
face-down cyber (you pray they get no mons and you get 1)
face-down fiber (pray they draw no monsters, and you draw watapon)

and many, many more

also, you can wait til they start their main phase 1

And hope they don't have "Book of Moon" and "Mystic Swordsman LVx"? Or worse... "Minar" or "Elephant Statue of Disaster"? :)

But hey... I'll take a challenge of dueling against a "Last Turn" deck. I think it would be interesting to see the results. :D

even though they didn't make the combo illegal that wouldn't kill last turn... you still have The Great Maju Garzette
Only if you're the person who's activating "Last Turn" and he had a good enough attack value. Of course 1 DDWL will make short work of that.
