Yeah, because I know how expensive those UK promos were. I was lucky to get a DOD pack from the UK for like $20 with all 3 cards, Super Rare versions of Mesmeric Control, Dark Sage, and Widespread Ruin. If you check eBay you can pretty much tell how I made out like a bandit with that. Super Rare Widespread Ruin goes for a lot and Mesmeric Control will cost you a loan from your bank.

I was always lucky enough to get those UK promos in a set for cheap before they decided to become rare. I remember I got the UK version of Power of Chaos on eBay for like $25 before the promo cards inside were super duper expensive. I was really happy I got Mesmeric Control, Widespread Ruin, and Dark Sage. I like the Super Rare Widespread Ruin over the Promo version. I do not like Ultimate Rare, Secret Rare, or Promo Rare (or whatever the correct term for those cards are). A good example of a great looking Ultimate Rare for me is Elemental Mistress Doriado. A good example of a great looking Secret Rare for me is Obelisk the Tormentor. I would like Secret Rares a lot better if they did more of those Secret Rare/Ultra Rare combination cards like from the 2004 Tins. The text was Secret Rare, but the card art was either a regular Secret Rare or the Ultra Rare. It was cool. I still want to get a complete set of those Secret Rare/Ultra Rare 2004 Tins, although I have not heard if they repeated the same process for 2005.

I figure if europe gets some good promos, its becuase their players arnt whinning and crying about stupid cards like the "God" Cards.

thats a pack of smart players, they want cards they can use, not kindley for a bond fire.

the ultra rare issue were misprint issues. lol

from last years tins.

i know i have 1 ultra rare Blade Knight and 1 secrete rare Blade Knight. its funny to look at, but thats how it is.

They were misprints? Does that mean they have some rarity now? Although I doubt I would get rid of mines. Secret Rares look so much better the misprint way.

haha, yea dude, for a while we were wondering then we all found out it was a printer issue.

which is kind of funny if you think about it.

you dont neceserally have a gem since Blade Knight and the rest got reprinted in different rarities in DB2, but its not to say you dont have something commonly seen.

for a while people thought it was depeing on were you bought it you got certain rarity but that wasnt the case. lol

Oh well, there goes that plan. I was already planning to buy them as their Ultra Rare versions in those reprint sets since I do not like Secret Rares.
