Another card the TCG is very eager to get its hands on. It will become the second Plant Monster (with Mystic Tomato being the first) that will see play in most decks.
Dandylion
Earth/Plant/3/300/300
When this card is sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 2 "Fluffy Tokens" (Wind/Plant/1/0/0) in Defense Position. These Tokens cannot be used for a Tribute Summon during the turn they are Special Summoned.
Where From: V-Jump Magazine Promos
Likely TCG Appearance: Shonen Jump Magazine
This card is Restricted to 1 in the OCG and for good reason. You will get 2 Tokens when it's sent to the Graveyard. While you cannot use them for Tribute Summons initially, they can be used for anything else. Plus, any that do make it to your next turn become instant Tribute food for the most popular cards in the game today ("<Name> the <Type> Monarch").
Further, this effect will go off no matter how it is sent to the Graveyard. It can be sent from your deck by Card Trooper, discarded from your hand, destroyed from the field, returned from Removed from Play, etc. All that needs to happen is that Dandylion need to start someplace else, and end in the Graveyard. The effect is manditory so you can't miss the timing.
The fact that you can't use the tokens for Tribute Summons to start with is about the only thing that saves Dandylion from being broken. As it is though, it is a very powerful card that can easily be added to most decks because of it's easy to create Field presence ability. Unless you are facing an opponent that's main decking Piercing monsters, there is almost no downside to running this monster.
5 out of 5. (Ok, in reality I would have said 4.9 since it's that close to perfect, but I round up.) This card has the potential to be incredibly abusable and can work as a Sinister Serpent/Treeborn Frog hybrid by discarding it during your opponent's turn for some effect (Phoenix Wing Wind Blast or Raigeki Break?) and then come your turn, tribute off the tokens for your heavy hitters. If we do get Dandylion, enjoy it while it lasts since the card will likely end up being banned shortly thereafter.
