Hey guys i'm tryin to find any continuous traps/spells that have a negative effect to your opponent when a monster of yours either gets special summoned or sent from the field to the graveyard. I'm working on a 3-card-combo that i think would be very effective, maybe even fatal. teehee XD. i will post the combo if i can find these/this certain card(s) to make it work.

Please post freely with opinions and if you are posting card names i would appreciate it if you posted a description as well, thanks guys.

Mala.

Well, as far as Continuous Spell/Traps that do anything positive or negative, only Card of Safe Return seems to fit. I guess, for a combo, you could use a heavy hand OTK and load-up. Harpie's Hunting Ground can do some clearing, but it isn't all that helpful either....sorry.

There are combos you can make by repetitively Special Summoning certain cards (Apprentice Magician counters, for instance). Or a Monster (rather than S/T) like Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower (supposing you are SSing a Zombie, or can make it one via DNA Surgery). Other than that I know of none.

Oops! I didn't see that you wanted those that go to the Graveyard as well....that makes a difference. (see below, my next post)

Don't worry guys, I'm got some folks working on the auto-linking to try and get it back up. That way you guys won't have to describe every card all the time.

Let's see, I can find a few, but there are some drawbacks for each one.

For "sent to the Graveyard" effects Backfire will inflict 500 points of Damage to your opponent each time. But the monster needs to be FIRE.

Skull Invitation will do 300 points of Damage, but it does it to the controller of the card sent to the Graveyard.

Seismic Shockwave is one that pigeonholes your opponent's Spell/Trap Zones, but again, the Deck needs to be Dinosaur themed and the monster going to the Graveyard is an activation requirement.

For summoning effects, aside from the one's mentioned, there's Cyber Summon Blaster, and there you need a Machine-Type to be summoned.

There might be more, but this is what I can personally find. Let's see what others turn up if any.

I'm making the assumption that you have a specific card in mind that you are bringing back/sending to the Graveyard and that you already have the method of doing both, and are therefore looking for ancilary effects that operate independantly of the actual sending/"reborning". More details would help, but I undertand if you don't want to publicize it. It's just that there are certain effects that are type specific (Dark, Dino, Fire, etc.).

If you can use it in a Reversal Quiz Deck, wherein you want to Drain your own LP fast then with (say) Balck endant on the field for the win, you could use Fatal Abacus, or Royal Oppression (or DJ's Skull Invitation) to drop your LPs to the necessary amount.

I might as well tell you the cards involved in the combo i'm trying to make, i'm not even completely sure if it'll work in the way i want it to.
Cards:
Treeborn Frog
King Tiger Wanghu

[Re: Treeborn Frog] If "King Tiger Wanghu" is on the field when "Treeborn Frog" is Special Summoned, "Treeborn Frog" will be destroyed, but can be Special Summoned again with its effect during the same Standby Phase. Doing so without purpose is considered stalling and is a violation of Tournament Policy.

I'm not sure if it means that you can continuously re-special summon treeborn frog over and over, but thats what i assumed.
if anyone else has any ideas about this then please do share them.

even if there are cards that have positive effects to the controller please submit the card names.

Cheers,
Mala.

i'm sorry, i just realized that i cant do it anyway, since i cant have spell/trap cards on the field when i special summon treeborn frog from the graveyard.
my mistake, i've been on 12hr nightshifts for the last week or so, so i'm not thinking str8.

you can close this thread if you want to.

Thanks for your time guys,
My apologies once again,
Mala.

Ah, I see what you were going for. That's not a problem, I know I don't sleep anymore either. And I'm not even getting paid for my insomnia. :( Well, not anymore, anyway. :D
