Lord of Dragons vs: Dark Paladin

Hello all,

I come to you with my problem.

Someone made an issue that if lord of dragons is on the field and just for fun let's say three blue eyes are on the field, standing along against my Dark Paladin. Now Paladin would get the boost from every dragon in my graveyard and his, as well as the whole field. But someone pointed out that paladins effect designates. But i'm not sure, I would think he would be a field card like dark ruler or someting like that. But, someone help me out....

Is Dark Paladin's effect negated because Lord of Dragons and additional dragons are on the field? He says with every dragon increase this cards atk by 500. Hmmm, is that a designation?

Counting is not designating targets.

dark paladin boost efct doen not target

when a efct is targeting it usually goes this way

targeting efct ------> change the status of a spell , trap or monster

also a targeting efct demands its target at the activation this way

change of heart----> take control of monster 1

if the monster 1 is removed THEM is not possible choose another target


dark paladin efct work on him

dark paladin boost <----->number of dragons on the field + number of dragon in graves


also non targeting efct ,the target may be more than one

example = raigeki

and a non targeting efct choose its target at the resolution of the efct

example = fissure-it determines the target after look all monsters on the field to discover each one has the lower atck value

example 2= magical scientist eftc-the target is chosen in the fusion deck at resolution(this reasoning cam from the case rivalry of warlords versus magical scientist in UDE FAQ)

example 3=sogen target all face up warriors on his side of the field
