Max Number of Tributes in a Deck

I hope you played Excelion "legally". You have to "normal" summon it, or in this case Tribute summon, which some of people I faught sometimes forget.

Like I vsed a dude who runs that, and he had Shining Angel to bring that out. But I told him, "No, even if you have 1x Excelion in your grave, since it wsa special summoned, you DO NOT activate his effect".

Which also sucks once all 3x pair hits the graveyard since even if you Premature/CotH on it, you do not get to activate it's effect.

I gotta say to run Excelion effectively, Treeborn Frog is a must, even with Chain Destruction as your trap deck.

I did in an od way. I normal summoned the first and Activated Next be Lost. 2 Turns Later I tributed the Excelion for another one and gave it the 1000pt boost. What I don't get is When its summoned its just a monster with 1500 Atk the first time. Im not sure its worth it.
