Multitriggering

Was wondering if one can chain a effect to another effect

For example if i attack with my Cannon Soldier on a opponent who activates Des Counterblow . Can i then chain with the effect of Cannon Soldier to sacrifice him so i can deal an additional 500dmg point?

Can i sacrifice my other monsters in response to his trap?

How do i know if i can multitrigger to something?

Can one multitrigger to an effect?

Just some things i wanted to clear out thats been on my mind quite some time

You couldn't activate the effect of "Cannon Soldier" in this case since that is an Ignition Effect. You can chain Multi-Trigger effects to the activation of most other effects (that are chainable) since they are spell speed 2 and can be used on your opponent's turn. As for knowing which effects are Multi-Trigger, it is usually stated on the card that you can use that effect during your opponent's turn.

cannon soldier efct is spell speed 1

so in the scenario you described, you would not be able to activate cannon soldier efct to the efct of des counter blow

also

cannon soldier efct may be activated in your main phase 1 or 2 in your turn
(you can activate it in batlle phase , but them it would cause you to move automatically to main phase 2 and your batlle phase woul end. it is important to notice that you could not do this after declare a atck unless the atack is negated or the damage step for this atck is concluded)

You can only use Cannon Soldier's effect in main phase 1 or 2 of your turn. It is not a multitrigger effect monster as you cannot use its effect on your opponent's turn. Its speed is therefore spell speed 1 and cannot be chained to a trap or quick play spell card. An example that I think you are looking for is this:

You have Cannon Soldier on the field or another monster on the field. You summon Cannon Soldier or another monster. You opponent activates Trap Hole or Ring of Destruction. First note that your opponent acted out of turn as you still have priority. They should have ask you if you were going to use your priority. You can then sacrafice the summoned monster (Cannon Soldier or the other monster) for 500 points of damage. Once you use Cannon Soldier's effect, you opponent is allowed to respond.

Could one chain Hysteric Fairy's effect after a cyber jar has been flipped up?

And as i got it right some effects are chainable to other effects. meaning they would be a spell speed 2?

No, you can't. You cannot activate in chain a Spell Speed 1 effect (histeric Fairy) to another Spell Speed 1 effect (cyber Jar)

You can(Sword of Reavling Light and face-down flip monsters), but not in this stiuation.

That still wouldn't be chaining a Speed 1 effect with another Speed 1 effect. That is a new effect starting when the current one resolves. The only time 2 Speed 1 effects can be chained to each other is when a SEGOC occurs (like in your example, say "Swords of Revealing Light" turns over 2 flip effects.) The only reason why they are "chainable" in that case is because you have 2 simultaneous effects that both activated at the same time and in YGO when that happens, it gets resolved in a chain. Outside of that though, you cannot manually activate a Speed 1 effect as a response or a in a chain to another Speed 1 effect.
