Mystic Tomato's summoned monster attack?

Hello

Here is a scenario:

Player A - Mad Dog of Darkness ATK 1900 - face up attack position

Player B - Mystic Tomato ATK 1400 - face up attack position
- also has Necrovalley on the field

Player B's turn
Decides to attack Mad Dog with Tomato. Tomato is sent to the graveyard (losing 500 life points in the process) and Player B then special summons Gravekeeper's Assailant from the graveyard in attack position.
Can this Gravekeeper Assailant then attack as well, to destroy Mad Dog? or can you only attack with monsters that were on the field when the whole Battle Phase started?

Thanks

There is no need to have the monsters at the start of the Battle Phase. If you managed to Special Summon a monster in attack mode (Mystic Tomato, Call of the Haunted) during your Battle Phase, you can declare an attack with it. Gravekeeper's Assailant will be able to attack.

Any monster on the field can attack as long as it has not already attacked.

You can also have a monster attack, use Ring of Destruction on it, use Call of the Haunted on it, and then attack again. In one phase.

That's one of those moves you just sit there and stare at. I read that twice, not because I thought it wasn't a legitimate move, but because I'm sitting here wondering why I never thought of that. It's brilliant, and would annoy the pants off your opponent.

And people always ragged on me for running 3x Tomatos in my GK deck. :p That combo comes in really handy when you're facing down Horus and almost all your removal is spell based . Ram him with a mato, Assailant turns him to defense mode, and buh-bye Horus. Also works really well against Jinzo and any other high ATK low DEF monsters. <hugs Tomato>
