Pastimes in Niles, IL. has just announced that they are holding a Shonen Jump Championship on Oct. 29th with a regional tournament on Oct. 30th.

You may find more information regarding these tournaments at the following link.....

A couple of our current members will be judging there over the weekend. We hope to see you there!

Things are so much better now that I am on the East Coast. I can actually make it to large events more regularly than when I was in the Country of Texas. Chicago is still a distance away, but I can still find motivation more so now than I did before.

It's going to be a busy month coming up for me judging I can see...

Oct. 8th Regionals Des Moines, IA
Oct. 29th SJC Championship Northlake, IL
Oct. 30th Regionals Northlake, IL
Nov. 5th Sneak Preview Des Moines, IA

Now if I can only manage GenCon So. Cal. <pondering>

My schedule is similar to yours:
Oct 15 Indy Regionals
Oct 29 SJC with Pastimes
Oct 30 regionals with Pastimes
Nov 5 Indy Sneek Preview

Looking forward to seeing you in Chicago.

I've got the opportunity to be pretty busy, but since I've never played in a Regional (only Judged), I'm kind of torn as to what I want to do with the 3 chances I have coming up in Maryland.

<pondering> That brings back a topic I've wanted to throw out in General Discussion, thanks for reminding me.

Every once in a while I get to feeling just a wee bit "cheated" and I have to put away the judge shirt and sit down and play in a tournament, otherwise I feel slighted from a portion of the fun.

I am really going to try to make it to this one. Just have to talk my wife into letting me go, lol. Missed out on Indy, so this is probably the last chance for along time.

The nice thing is that this is only about, what 10-15 miles from Schaumburg, which means Woodfield Mall and IKEA.
