out of curiosity...

I didn't read jpnuar1's post closley enough. I didn't notice he said "sent to the graveyared." That's right, they stay on the field for the duration of the chain. I like the phrase "used gun." Another term I've been hearing latley that I also like is "empty shell." The concept being that, during the resolution of a chain, each card in the chain is now an empty shell (a one shot pistol), awaiting resolution on the field, but technicaly "used."

In the case of non-continuous Spell/Trap Cards that is correct.

Another abstract that i use myself is, that a gun can be used to shoot other guns, but cannot shoot itself.

Which is how i rationalize that Spell/Trap Card's such as Mystical Space Typhoon/Giant Trunade/Heavy Storm etc. cannot and do not affect themselves, while they resolve.

as far as jpnuar1's post he stated:

"You can't return Waboku to your hand with Giant Trunade because it would resolve first, and thus be sent to the graveyard before Giant Trunade finished resolving."

Which is not correct, as Waboku would remain on the field, while Giant Trunade resolves, but would not return because it is "used"

Really? I didn't know that. I always thought that cards are sent to the graveyard as they resolve. Well I'm sure that if I ever take the level 2 or 3 judge tests, that that info will come in very handy. Thanks!
