Quick Little Question

The ruling on Chaos Sorcerer reads:

If "Chaos Sorcerer" attacks and a replay occurs, and you decide not to attack again with "Chaos Sorcerer", you cannot activate "Chaos Sorcerer"'s effect in Main Phase 2.

But this ruling is not on the "Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning". I have read somewhere that you may choose to remove durring main phase 2 with BLS-EoTB if a reply occurs. I would believe the ruling for Sorcerer would exist because the wording for their effects are different. I just need some clarification on this one. Thanks in advance.

Why can't you? If a replay occurs, doesn't that mean that BLS never attacked in the first place. I believe that BLS only loses his ability to remove things (for the turn) if he actually attacks, not simply having an attack declared with him. Since the attack never occured, I can't we why you can't use his removal ability since you never attacked with him.

This is my main argument for why Black Luster Soldier - EotB's (and Chaos Sorcerer's as well) effect "should" be more like the game where you must declare whether you are going to use his removal effect or attack twice in Main Phase 1, that way, there would be no argument if you could not attack for some reason, in the Battle Phase.

True, and then with a card like Soul Exchange it does seem that you should forfeit the removal ability for the turn since it's not that you're choosing not to attack but that you can't.
