Return from the Different Dimension question

I've got a Lava/Inferno Tempest deck put together, and thought of this question that could really abuse this card.

If I have all of my monsters removed from play, and then activate Return from DD, and bring back 5 monsters including Cannon Soldier....i can continue to summon more after I trib the 4 monsters off by Cannon Soldier's effect right?
Basically is Return from DD's effect the same as Magical Scientists?? You can continue to use the effect as long as you have spaces open for it?

No. You would have to finish resolving the effect of Return From the Different Dimension before you could activate the effect of Cannon Soldier.

At maximum Return from a Diffrent Dimension can on Special Summon 5 Monsters. You can't keep using it's effect throughout the entire turn. it's a one shot deal. So no you can't do what your planning

That makes sense now. I see that Magical Scientist has to pay for each one individually. Return from DD is one cost.
