Royal Oppression and Heavy Storm

My opponent has a Royal Oppression already active on the field. He plays Heavy Storm. I chain with Solar Ray and then chain to that with Return From a Different Dimension. The question is: can my opponent use Royal Oppression's effect to negate my RFDD in this instance, or would the Royal Oppression effect be negated by Heavy Storm?

Heavy Storm isn't negating anything. And Royal Oppression has not yet been destroyed, since Heavy Storm hasn't resolved yet. So yeah, Royal Oppression could still be used.

Sorry to bug.... but I just bumped Royal Oppression to the number 1 slot on my Favorite cards list.... its just too useful... especially since I play threes of Giant Trunade.... I can SS all I want and just Dump Royal Oppression after I'm done...

QUESTION: Is there ANY SS situation that an Already Face-Up Royal Oppression CANNOT negate

What do you mean Special Summon all you want? You know your opponent can use it as well right?

Your opponent can use your Royal Oppresion against you. LoL

but since RO is an infinite trap card, doesnt it work differently?
like, doesnt it have to stay on for it to work, or can u immediately use RO's effect as a chain to RFDD?

Royal Oppresion is kinda like Solemn Judgement, with SJ you can only negate premature burial when it is activated, you can´t negate the special summon made by PB, so with RO, and RFDD, is the same. only when it is activated.
Please correct me if I`m wrong

They are different in that Solemn Judgment is a counter-trap, and as such must be directly chained to the Special Summon, and Royal Oppresion also can negate cards that INVOLVE special summoning

I was trying to say that with solemn judgement, there is no time to chain to the special summon made by Premature Burial, since when the monster arrives it is inmediatly equipped with PB and leaves no time to response.
I was trying to say that RO can be chained to cards that allow special summons.
