solemn judgment

can Solemn Judgment be used to negate the activation of your own card? the old version of the card says when your opponent....the DB2 version says:

"Pay half of your Life Points. Negate an activation of a Spell / Trap Card / Normal Summon / Flip Summon / Special Summon and destroy the Spell Card, Trap Card, or Summoned monster."

im wondering if the wording was changed so that you were allowed to target your own card with solemn's effect

will that actually work? and am i allowed to use that during a tourny or even a laptop with such on it to use...well not to use the laptop during a duel but if a judge tries to make a bad call on an uncommon situation i could show him. just curious. also where can i actually download the errata file from?

You can download the Errata PDF from here...

A better idea for help against a bad ruling would be to simply appeal the ruling to the Head Judge. If you still get a bad ruling from the Head Judge, unfortunately there won't be anything you could do about it.

Hopefully, the judging staff at your events uses RONIN to look up rulings. What you could do with RONIN is add the cards in your deck to your Favorites and then print them from RONIN. It will print the updated card text AND all of the rulings for each card in your deck. That way, you could politely show the judge that you have printed all the rulings for your deck using RONIN and attempt to show them the ruling in question. If they are familiar with RONIN, then they 'should' know the rulings are accurate and may be able to give a 'better' ruling.

BTW..you can download RONIN from here:
