Soul Exchange vs. Ritual Monsters

Just a clarification here:

Soul Exchanged monsters can be used for a Ritual Summon, correct? I want to be 100% sure before I go around tributing my opponent's Cyber End Dragons for Shinato, King of a Higher Plane. ^.^-b

I'm sure you can use it on your opponent's face-up monsters but you won't be able to use it on their face-down.

if the monster is face up you can use it
but if the monster is face down you cant because the monster is sent away with out looking for the stats of the card
