Special Summoning re-flippable monsters

Simple enough question, yet one I'm actually not positive on.

Can the same turn you Call of the Haunted or Premature burial a card like Guardian Sphinx, Swarm of Locusts, Stealth Bird, Golem Sentry, etc... you can use their effect to flip them face down, but can you flip-summon them for their effect on the same turn? I'm guessing no, since you normally can't make a manual position change on the same turn it was Special Summoned, but I wanted to be positive before my friend might try it on this Saturday.

You've already set the position manually, either in defense or attack, when you special summoned. That was your once per turn. You can then use their effect to override the game mechanics, enabling you to flip them over into face down defense position, but you can't then manually change it without using somebody other card's effect, like Book of Tayou.

On the same turn it was reborn? I would have to say no on the manual change and yes to the effect change. It would be no different then if was the same trun it was normal summoned or set.

Both of you guys are correct. Here is the ruling for manual change:

You can manually change a monster's position if all of the following are true:
  1. The monster has not been summoned (including flip summon and special summon) or set this turn.
  2. The monster's battle position has not been changed manually or changed by a card's effect (it's own effect or other card effect such as "Book of Moon").
  3. The monster has not attacked yet.

Under WHEN CAN I CHANGE MY MONSTER'S POSITION?

I was pretty positive on that, I just didn't want to be abused by it, or abuse it this Saturday at the little tourney I'm going to. Boy how I wish Golem Sentry was legal right now, hehe. That will wait until April 1st. though, oh yes.

Now just to double check. If you flip a monster from face up defense position to face down defense position through an effect, can still flip summon that turn since its not considered a battle position change?

Example:
I use Last Will to special summon Byser Shock into face up defense position.
During my next turn, I summon Tsukuyomi. Using her effect, I flip Byser Shock face down (still in defense position).
I now flip summon Byser Shock.

Is this good to go?
