If Stealth Bird is special summon by Call of the Haunted and then fliped face down and CotH is destroyed, is Bird destroyed to?

No. As stated many times, flipping a monster face down breaks the connection between it and Call of the Haunted.

As a clarification, although the connection between the two has been severed,since the monster was never destroyed, Call of the Haunted remains on the field, meaninglessly sitting there taking up a spell/trap slot.
Its important to remember that a continuous card that continuously targets a monster is not an Equip Card. It is not subject to the game mechanics of an Equip Card.
