.:TDK:. Strike Ninja Article: Strike Back Into Action

My friend NintendoMan over at Itstimetoduel.com made a Strike Ninja deck, so I wrote an article about it, please tell me what you think, critisize away.

NintendoMan's Deck: Strike Back Into Action

The main thing you need to know about this deck is, Strike Ninja decks are all about field control.
Strike Ninja is the deck master in the deck; he has synergy with pretty much all the cards you are playing. Before destroyed, you may remove him for a turn, along with 2 Dark monsters in your graveyard from play, so that he may once again come back to fight another day (see it's a rhyme ^^). Now I know removing isn't always a good thing, but utilizing Strike Ninja's ability actually promotes field advantage later on in the duel and essentially negates the opponent's card that was used. Strike Ninja may be the deck master of this deck, but he is nothing without his counterparts, partners like D. D. Scout Plane.

Looking first at D. D. Scout Plane, you may not see much. With a low attack and defense there is really nothing this monster is good for right? Wrong, when combined with Strike Ninja, this is a field control player's dream. When removed from play, you may summon D. D. Scout Plane to the field, at the end of the turn. If you think back on Strikes effect, we can make this a lethal combo. For example, lets say you have two D.D. Scout Planes in the card graveyard, and Strike Ninja on your side of the field, you opponent activates Dark Hole. You then activate the special ability of your Strike Ninja and remove from play two D.D. Scout Planes, thus removing from play your Strike Ninja. When your opponent ends his/her turn, you get to summon two D.D. Scout Planes and a Strike Ninja to your side of the field to fight yet again. This now gives you the opportunity to sacrifice either one or both of the D.D. Scout Planes to summon one of your 2 stronger monsters to the field.

Well with removing monsters from play, and Dark monsters running rampant in the deck, let me introduce you to another monster. This monsters name is D. D. Survivor. Now when Survivor is removed from play from your side of the FIELD, it comes back into its original state like nothing ever happened to it. Now how many cards remove monsters from the field? Well you can probably assume that your opponent is running D. D. Warrior Lady in his/her deck, so there is one, D. D. Assailants are also going to be running pretty wild with the new format. So this card even gains support from your opponent. This card is great to contribute to the ability of Strike Ninja as it is nice "food", but what card really shines with this monster is the magic card Different Dimension Gate.

With spell and trap removal being played in such high numbers permanent magic and trap cards aren't being played that much. But we really only need this one card for a few turns, to do the maximum damage we have in store for our opponent. Different Dimension Gate is a great helper. With this card you may choose a monster on yours and your opponents side of the field to be removed from play. Now cards like D. D. Scout Plane and D. D. Survivor are key with this ability. Lets say, your opponent is breathing down your neck with a Jinzo, and you have D.D. Survivor on the field. You activate this card and BAM! Your Survivor and his Jinzo are removed from play, but thanks to the special ability of your Different Dimension Survivor your monster comes back to the field once again. This card can also be used with D.D. Scout plane the same way. The bad side to this card is when it is destroyed the monsters removed from play are summoned to the field, in the same battle position as they were when removed from play. Lets just hope you have enough time to summon a Jinzo of your own or Dark Magician of Chaos.

Speaking of spell cards lets look at Giant Trunade, this is a card that was not ran much before the October 1st bans, why I do not know. Well. in this deck, this is another key card. Not only does Trunade have great synergy with cards like Swords of Revealing Light and Premature Burial, Trunade can act as monster removal with Big Bang Shot. It also allows you to utilize D.D. Gates ability more than once, and your opponents monsters will be removed permanently.

Dimension has obviously become a popular term in this deck, well it is time to introduce you the final card of the deck. Return from the Different Dimension, yes it is a trap card, and yes it is perfect for the deck. At the cost of half of your life points, you may summon all the monsters you can to your side of the field, that you have removed from the game. The returned monsters will be removed from play, at the end of the turn that this card was activated. Now if you have D. D. Survivor in there and you bring two of them back, thanks to Survivior's effect he will come back when the turn resolves. This is a card to be used in your last ditch effort.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading this article, as much as I like writing it. Until next duelists have fun..

Lol, sorry for being impatient, I promise it won't happen again. I won't change the artice with those fixes because this is my friends deck...but I will take those into consideration and tell him personally. Thankyou very much ChaosRuler.

Feel free to add an addendum to the article with some of the fixes chaosruler had in mind. Just add to it that these are your/some suggestions that you think would make the dek better. Or at least different. I see you can post in Netrep Artices now. The edit feature should work for you now as well.

nice job with the deck and article TDK...only suggestion i have is the same one chaosruler had in adding Card of Sanctity and mayB if u wanted to make it a bit more dimension-y, u could add or put in ur side deck a dimesion wall or something.....my dark warrior deck is a lot like this so this appeals to me...great idea with using the Different Dimension Gate tho...never would have thought of using that....

Thankyou guys, I will do that digitaljedi, but I can't post articles I can just reply to the ones that you but up in the article section for me ^^.

Yeah, I should have said "post replys". But you should still be able to edit your own messages within this forum.

You can foward new articles to me and I'll let you know if they are Appropriate for posting here. But even if I don't accept one that doesn't mean you can't post in General Discussion. That forumis free and clear.

You also might want to get with chaosruler regarding the Card Revies and Tips. We have articles coming out every week there but in a very specific format now. So check with chaosruler and read the stickies over there to get more info on that. You may find that a good creative outlet for you as well.

I have gone up against this type of Deck enough to know how brutal it can be. Talk about field advantage for doing nothing but protecting your Strike Ninja. Good article. The changes some of the posters replied are good ideas to put into thought if you ever decided to run that deck or anyone else did. I might get around to writing an article, but I hope the article I want to write is not already made.

I run this deck along with my others.
Thanks for the comment tiso, and I have made changes due to the other members help.
Lol I bet you never thought feat could write something like this eh =p
