The Immortal of Thunder

immortal's loss of LP is not damage...
While it is true it isnt "damage", the message is still clear, you LOSE 5000 when it goes to YOUR Graveyard, do you not?

And in my mind, any time I lose life points, whether I can activate an effect against it or not, I still think of it as "damage".

Your absolutely right. But you cant tell me that if you have that happen to you, that losing 5000 life points is just going to be, "Oh well, I lost 5000", without feeling like it is damage.

I already said that I know I cant use an effect against it when it occurs, but "I" still dont accept it as going from 8000 to 3000 and "poof", your turn, nothing to see here, move along.... :duel_no_j

So it looks like The Immortal's effect is only good if you have Compulsory Evacuation Device set and it's your turn (not in your opponents battle phase) or if either you or your opponent has Dimensional Fissure, Macro Cosmo, Banisher of... etc. face up... man, I wish his effect had "damage" instead of "lose" in it...
