The Spell Absorbing Life & Fire Princess

Now I know the ruling that Fire Princess will only do 500 damage no matter how much life you gain, but what I was wondering, if you have a set Fire Princess and activate The Spell Absorbing Life, will she deal damage in that instance since she's being flipped up?

The Spell Absorbing Life negates Flip Effects of flipped monsters. Fire Princess does not have a Flip Effect. Also, she is face-up on the field when the Life Points gain happens, so her effect will be triggered and she will deal damage (but only 500, of course).
