can i use astral barrier in a combo with inferno tempest..
is it a legall combo..to use..
if so /or not can i all so use absolute end combo'd with tempest inferno....

No you cannot since you must take 3000 in Battle Damage in order to activate "Inferno Tempest".

Grr... I got that confused with "Spirit Barrier".

Assuming the monster has an ATK of 3000+, you can use Astral Barrier to redirect the damage to you directly in order to activate "Inferno Tempest". But the key is taking the damage.

One confusing thing that has lingered here locally... must the 3000 be taken in one attack or total for the battle phase of the turn?

heh i once pulled 3 rush recklesslies on an attacking mask of darkness to take 3000, my opponent was like puzzled and thought i was giving up till i flipped inferno tempest
