trap activation question

If my opponent declares an attack and I activate Magic Cylinder, then my opponent activates Solemn Judgement to negate Cylinder, can I then activate Mirror Force and still stop the declared attack?

Solemn Judgement is a counter trap, only another counter trap could be activated, and Mirror Force is not, so nope.

But you could activate another Solemn Judgement against your opponent's SJ. Another good play would be Trap Jammer or Seven Tools of the Bandit...lol

Also, you can't activate Mirror Force in a second chain (after the one with SJ has resolved) because you'll miss the activation timing for Mirror Force.

One question: Must Negate Attack be Chain Link 1, or could it be chained to solemn judgment?

Negate Attack can be chained in this scenario. Negate Attack only requires that the last thing to occur in the game state was the attack declaration. It is one of the exceptions to the rule.
