We've had requests for this sticky in the past. This locked thread is to list "Unsolved Mysteries" as they pertain to Yugioh rulings.

Royal Oppression / Vampire Lord

If the special summon from the graveyard via Vampire Lord's effect is negated by chaining the effect of Royal Oppression how is it that Vampire Lord's effect activates again the next turn?

The key here is WHERE is Vampire Lord when it's effect is negated? If it's in the graveyard it can't be destroyed (again) Since Royal Oppression negated the summon it never hit the field.

This issue has been resolved.

The erroneous ruling has been removed and a correct one has been added.
