In the latest Shounen Jump Championship, burns decks made a comeback to counter all the "combo" based decks that's pretty much says, "Pay 2000LP, you win the game" strat. (e.g. DDT, Demise, Bazoo/Return, etc.)

And among the Burn decks, the one that shined is the fixed ChainStrikeBurn of the new format with the limitations of 1x Chain Strike. I mean, IMO, people though DDT died once they saw the 1x Stratos/Dimension Fusion restrictions. But nope, it's still alive and kicking thanks to 3x Magical Stone Excavation your allowed to run still. Similar with this burn deck, although 1x Chain Strike does limit this deck alot, the fac that you can still run 3x Accumulative Fortune makes it alive and kicking. (It just took awhile for someone with guts to pull it off with a new formula.) Of course with this, there are some changes. (like you usually don't see a main-decked Gravity Bind/SoRL/Morphing Jar/etc. in 3x ChainStrike days.)

and look at Jasmin Gauthier deck list.

How much threat of this new ChainStrike is gunna be in your opinion. Do we have to go back to 3x Royal Decree/3xDes Wombat sidedecks like we used to. (Which BTW, is kinda harsh on the sidedeck section due to so much variety of deck types you want to counter in the first place. 6x sidedeck slot for 1 deck type is alot. ) Well, one good news for ChainStrike deck players is that instead of depending on really situational cards like Mystical Wind Typhoon in the sidedeck, you can instead sidedeck Twister, which is a MUCH BETTER option to deal with Royal Decree. (especially with ChainStrike being 1x, linking long chains have become harder) But the prob is still cards like Des Wombat and Jinzo. (Yeah, there's Offering of the Doomed and Double Snare... but it's not that great.) Another reason why burn deck shined so much is because people didn't put Des Wombats in sidedeck thinking Burn decks are dead. (And alot of people didn't had Royal Decree either.)

And one thing that I don't get too much of this deck style. Why 2x Pigeonholing Books of Spell? I can see he wants a better quality of draws since it isn't chain strike. (And Reckless Greed is in sidedeck because of lack of chain needed) But is it worth the -1 issue that quick-play spell card creates?
