player A attacks and player B activated a hero emerges
player A chooses bls-eotb.
here's the question: is bls discarded to the graveyard or special summoned to the field?

No. You can't select Black Luster Soldier - Enovoy of the Beggining to Special Summon through the effect of A Hero Emerges, you have to Special Summon BLS-EOTB through his own effect.
