An interesting question and ruling...

Da Twiggy Man!
Ok, I was just thinking of game phases on my way home today from college. I was thinking to myself, "If Player B activates Drop Off when Player A draws a card in his/her Draw Phase and Player A chains Dust Tornado to Drop Off to destroy a Spell/Trap card on the field. Then using the last portion of Dust Tornado when resolving it, sets the Trap Card that he/she just drew. This would result in Drop Off's effect to resolve with no effect." and I still come to think that I'm correct on this notion of the phase mechanics behind that situation. Not really sure if it's legal, but I'm having a sneaky feeling my ruling for a situation like this (even for extremely rare it might be to happen) is correct.

Any thought on this???

as Dlanaan once said: No card ever fizzles, this isn't Vs. System. XD Anyway, yeah, Twiggy, assuming I read this right, you are correct.

And as the rulings for VS say: "'Fizzle' is not a game term." :D

Sweeeet, ok, just was curious about it since there wasn't an official ruling on it.

Got another question though. =) More Phase Mechanics for you guys to sit on and chew up..lol

Does the drawing of a card have to be the first thing in the Draw Phase? Or is it like Maintance Costs in the Standby Phase where it doesn't matter exactly within the phase you register you draw a card, as long as you do so.

I might be getting a little a head of myself on this one. =)

Sorry. That had nothing to do with the thread.

We really do need an obiturary thread for all the memorable members who've Disappeared over the months.:(

purity is quite a busy woman. With a family, being an L3 judge, and writing for Metagame she's got her hands full. She pops in here from time to time, she just doesn't contribute as often as most here....but she's still around.
