Can Light hex be used with power bond for cyber twin and also does light hex have to be on the field to use it effect or can it be used in the hand?????
The text of "Power Bond" does not exclude Fusion Substitutes from being used when activating it. The text is the same for it as it is for "Polymerization" and everyone knows that you can used Fusion Substitutes with "Polymerization".SS64 said:here is the Text
Send, from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Machine-Type Fusion Monster Card, and Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon). Increase the ATK of this Special Summoned Fusion Monster by an amount equal to its original ATK. During the End Phase of this turn, the player who activated this card takes damage equal to the original ATK of the Special Summoned monster.
now if Hex is on the Fusion Material Monster (this means the monsters listed right on the Fusion Card) then yes.
But in this case no becuz Hex cannot change its name.

Just to be certain everything is clear. The two effects of the Hexes are separate. The first effect allows you to use it as a substitute for a Fusion Summon, which in this case, Cyber Twin and Cyber End Dragon both have text that prevents this. Had their text not been so restrictive, you would have been able to use the Hexes as substitute for a Fusion Summon.
The second effect of the Hexes is different. It is not part of a Fusion Summon. Cyber Twin and Cyber End's effects both allow themselves to be Special Summoned through other effects. But as the text of the Hexes states: "Tribute Fusion Material Monsters on the field, including this card..." So naturally, they would have to be on the field for this effect.
Note that the text is usually self-explanatory as to where the material have to be when the summoning effect is performed.
Untrue. The first effect of the Hexes is no different from a regular Fusion Substitue Monster like Goddess with the Third Eye or King of the Swamp. That's the whole point of Fusion Substitutes effect. If you couldn't use them for a Fusion Summon, then what could you use them for?drzero7 said:YOu cannot use Light HEX for Power Bond or Poly cause they are proper fusion summon.
And that is what we said. And you can only fusion summon with the proper name of the listed monster card for Cyber Twin and Cyber End.
That's also what we said.but you CAN use Light HEX own 2nd effect to "special summon" that's NOT a proper fusion summon to summon Cyber Twin or Cyber End.

drzero7 said:Yeah, I meant you cannot use Power Bond or Poly for Cyber Twin and End. Sorry about the mishap. You can use Power Bond with the HEXes with stuff like Steam Gyroid or UFOroid + Warrior fusion monster thingy, gatling dragon, etc.
