would it also work on XYZ dragon cannon?
No it wouldn't:

A) Since XYZ wasn't fusion summoned.. the materials wouldn't count as fusion materials

B) (assuming that we didn't know about A) If the fusion materials were in the graveyard, since they weren't in the graveyard originally they would have been considered "separated" from the summon of XYZ. (If for example a BEWD left the graveyard and then returned to the graveyard it couldn't be summoned by De-Fusion)

Doesn't the monsters that were used to create this monster have to be removed from the field for it to be summoned and if so De-Fusion cannot be used on!!!
I'm not sure what you were trying to say here. Plus it seems that everybody else just passed on over it..lol. If you could clear this up a bit, it would be appreciated. I have a feeling, though, that your answer lies within the rulings for "De-Fusion".

I believe hes referring that in order to bring out a VWXYZ Fusion the monsters used to "fuse" it must be removed from play, making De-Fusion impossible to use because the "fusion material monsters" are not in the grave.

what i am say is, XYZ-Dragon Cannon reqiures you to have all the cards stated for it to be summoned are required to be on the feild and to summon the fusion monster all thoose cards need to be removed from play and De-Fusion summon requires all the compiants to be in the graveyard so it can not used on this monster.
EDIT: somone beat me to the expiasion shame

If you Special Summon a Fusion Monster, you can still activate De-Fusion on it without having the Fusion Material in the Graveyard. You just wont be able to summon anything and the monster is returned to the Fusion Deck.

The 1st ruling for "De-Fusion" answers your question, I believe...

"Special Summoning the Fusion Material Monsters is an option. So you may use "De-Fusion" to return a Fusion Monster to its owner's Fusion Deck even if you have only 1 or none of the Appropriate Fusion Material Monsters in your Graveyard."

And yes, I'm being the 'echo' today...lol.

I'm confused with the a part of the card text.

Return 1 Fusion Monster on the field to the Fusion Deck. In addition, if all the Fusion Material Monsters that were used for the Fusion Summon of that Fusion Monster are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon them all to the field

Would it be possible to use De-Fusion on my opponent's Cyber Twin Dragon and if i have a pair of Cyber Dragons in my graveyard i could special summon them?

No. The material monsters in the Graveyard must have been used to Fusion Summon that Fusion Monster. Since it's your opponent's Fusion Monster, the material monsters in YOUR Graveyard most likely weren't used in the Fusion Summon of that monster.

Now, if your opponent had control of YOUR Fusion Monster, then yes, you could use "De-Fusion" against it AND Special Summon the material monsters from your Graveyard.

Hope this helps!
