Disciple of the Forbidden Spell

With Disciple of the Forbidden Spell, I wanted to get a clearer picture of its Continuous destruction effect.

Does the ruling concerning Chain Thrasher.....
When this card makes an additional attack, the opponent can activate "Disappear"
to remove the other "Chain Thrasher" from the Graveyard, and the attack stops.

have any bearing upon what happens if Disappear is activated in response to an attack by the Disciple?

In other words
Player A has a Disciple on the Field and one in the Grave. They choose Water as the attribute.

Player B has Mobius and a face down Disappear.

Player A declares an attack, Player B responds with Disappear, removing the other Disciple.

Does the effect of the Disciple on the Field continue to destroy Mobius with its effect? Or does it stop?

Forgot to read the rulings....

1. The effect of "Disciple of the Forbidden Spell" is activated at the start of the Damage Step, before the attacked monster is flipped face-up. If this card attacks a face-down monster, it will not be destroyed by this effect, even if it is revealed to have 1 of the chosen Attributes.

4. Choosing Attributes is a Trigger Effect that activates when "Disciple of the Forbidden Spell" is Summoned. Your opponent could chain "Disappear" to remove from play 1 "Disciple of the Forbidden Spell" in the Graveyard and you would choose 1 less Attribute.

I dont really believe that. He still has to attack, and you can only choose 2 attributes, so unless you know your opponents Deck inside and out, there will more than likely be the same choices made from unconscious memory... "Light and Dark". Who picks Water and Wind???

Anyway, it's nowhere near Tribe-Infecting Virus. You could at least destroy the monster without jeopardizing YOUR monster through an attack.

But that still doesn't answer the question...

Rule 4 is chained to the activation of the choosing effect at the summoning, not when it attacks.

It sort of does... Disciple does not need to keep the other Disciples in the grave in order to attack and destroy the select types of monsters.

It only needs the other Disciples to call those types, if the types are already called Disciple only checks the named type at time of "battling" with a monster.

So in squid's question, Mobius would still be destroyed.

I'm just saying that what Benjamin quoted from netrep does not answer the question.
