DMOC vs Solumn vs Force Back

DMOC:
When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, you can add 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand. A monster that is destroyed by this monster as a result of battle is removed from play instead of going to the Graveyard. If this face-up card is destroyed or removed from the field, it is removed from play.

[Re: Forced Back] If you negate the Normal or Flip Summon of "Dark Magician of Chaos" with "Forced Back", it is returned to the hand and is not removed from play.

So if i negate the summoning w/Solumn ,it wont be removed from play?

Keep in mind that Solemn Judgment and Forced Back do two completely different things after they negate the summoning.

Solemn Judgment is a "negate and destroy" type of card. Forced Back is a "negate and return to hand" type of card.

A negated summoning is a summoning that was not successfully made, not one that "didn't" happen. That's just a load of crack IMO to have that mentality about negated summonings.

Forced Back is negating Dark Magician of Chaos' summoning and returning it to the hand. Dark Magician of Chaos' effect will only activate when it was successfully summoned onto the field to return to the hand and not be removed from play.

Negated summonings just mean the summoning is unsuccessful. The physical card actually does hit the field, but is just considered to be unsuccessful.

It isn't like my opinion really matters. <shrugs>
