Ectoplasmer Control

Da Twiggy Man!
I'm trying to devise an interesting deck that utilizes Ectoplasmer as a source of monster removal against my opponent.

These are the deck requirements that I'm trying to work around.

1) Offensively and defensively aggressive.
2) Isn't centered around Fiends, but will accept Malice Doll of Demise.
3) Aggressive deck thinning engine.
4) Consistant draws 80+% of the time.
5) Built for high level competitive environments in the Advanced Format.
6) If possible, have one or two copies of Ante in the deck.

I've been trying to think of several different approaches to the deck. So far I haven't found that much success yet. So I figure some of the players and judges here at CoG could help me out a little bit in coming up with ideas.

Now, Im not necessarily trying to promote a Fiend deck here, but simple fact is that 3 Goblin Elite Attack Force here would seem to fit right into this mold you are developing.

However, perhaps you could cut #6 from your list of goals right now? It seems a tad bit counter-intuitive to the rest of what you are imagining here.

Ill see if I can find it, but I should have an old saved copy for an Ecto deck that was used in conjunction with spirit monsters like Asura Priest. If you wanted to increase your draw consistency, perhaps also adding a teched in Maharaghi and 2 Creature Swap would help to provide some additional defensive aggression, since you want to eliminate as much burn from being tributed off of your opponent's side of the field.

Try limiting your opponent's ability to put 2 monsters on the field at once. This way they cant build a defensive field and use Ectoplasmer against you. For this I am thinking of a few effects like:
Kaiser Colloseum
Forced Back
Compulsory Evacuation Device
Black Horn of Heaven (cheaper of the Horns)

There are others, like Narrow Pass, Royal Oppression, ect, but they simply don't appeal to me personally, 1) as likely candidates for high competition standards, 2) any cards like Royal Oppression that cost you LP AND allow your opponent to stop Malice Doll of Demise from cycling are bad ideas.

Well anything can help really. I just need some possible strategies for the deck since I haven't seen one of these things posted on the internet in like..a year or two.

Some of the ROCK monsters work well...high defense plus defense damage to your opponent with Aztec. Throw in Guardian Sphinx for return or Legendary Jujitzu. Des Lacoda allows draws and can then be flipped back face down negating removal by Ectoplasmer effect. There are others I'm sure.

A separate route to go would be to make it Macro Cosmos/Dimensional Fissure and D.D. Survivors and Scout Planes. You tribute them away and they keep coming back. Just a thought.

The best Ectoplasmer deck I've seen used Manticore of Darkness and Card Of Safe Return. Of course Malice Doll plays right into Card Of Safe Return as well. If you go the Beast route with this you can use Nimble Momongas helping you to maintain field presence. Des Wombat provides potential for countering your opponent's effect damage (most likely though only if you're playing a bind version of this deck)

Side deck items might include Soul Exchange, Light Of Intervention, Dimension Wall, and Chain Energy is certainly a possbility here too. Another possibility here is an Exodia Side deck.

See I like the Beast angle a lot. I was thinking though of Indomitable Fighter Lei-Lei and Spiritual Earth Arts-Kurogane. Still, it could work well with the Manticore of Darkness and the Rock Spirit. Im not sure if Gigantes would be too risky, because of its backlash effect or not.
