Fox Fire vs. Lava Golem (2nd time)

Since Scapegoats and Fox Fire have the same last line about not being used for a Tribute Summon, does that mean I can use Lava Golem to Special Summon it by Tributing a Fox Fire or 2 on my opponent's side of the field? I only ask this because Scapegoat Tokens can be used like this and since the cards have the same set-back it would be logical to assume it works. Also, since Fox Fire does not include (or Set) like Scapegoats do, does that mean I can Set a monster by Tributing it?

Yes, you can use "Fox Fire" the same as a "Sheep Token". It can be used for any other Tribute except a Tribute Summon. Now as far as the Tribute Set goes, I'm not sure on that one. It can definitely go either way.

'Fox Fire' is really like a 'Sheep Token', it can't be Tributed for a Tribute Set either.

You cannot make that assumption. It would have said it on the card if it could not be used for a Set, just like it does on Scapegoats.

there's no such thing as a "Tribute Set" term in the OCG, that's why those cards only mention "Tribute Summon", because they use the same term for face-up or face-down.

Random spontaneous clarification out of nowhere:

Cropz and Benjamin are right about a "tribute set" (not capitalized because it's a made-up term) being a type of Tribute Summon. But remember that a Set is NOT a type of Summon. :dur_jedi: So cards like Torrential Tribute may not be activated in response to a Set.

Just wanted to point that out.
