horus l8 vs brain jacker

hi there
got another horus question for ya:

ok if horus l8 is face up and opponant flips brain jacker and becomes an equip card and targets horus l8, can horus l8 then activate his negation effect to counter brain jacker's effect i.e is brain jacker then considered a spell card and open for negation via horus?

will it be the same for dark necrofear as well?

how about the same situation but with l6 instead?

In both cases its a monster effect activating.
Horus Lv 8 follows the same timing as (card-negating) counter-traps, it can only activate immediately after the activation of the card its trying to negate. By the time the monster change into equip cards its too late for Horus Lv 8.

Horus Lv 6 will be equipped, but will not switch control as it is unaffected by spell cards.

I probably should add in the fact that if a monster is unaffected by Spell Card it still won't negate what affects the player. So if Snatch Steal is used on a Horus LV6, the control won't switch but the opponent will continue to gain Life Points.

Same will apply to Brain Jacker in this case.

Blast with Chain becomes an Equip Trap Card after activation. To reiterate, "Equip Card" is a general term that refers to both types of equips: Spell and Trap.

There is, however, no such thing as "just an Equip Card". Cards that transform into Equip Card MUST become one or the other. Monsters that transform to equips default to Equip Spell Card and trap cards that trasnfrm into equips become Equip Trap Cards. Just like it has always been in Japan.
