horus lv6 vs different dimension gate

hi guys
wondering if you guys could help me out here, i know i have seen the ruling somewhere and i thought it was on ronin anyway if horus lv6 is f/u and you activate different dimension gate selecting horus and opps monster, horus remains onfield while the opponants does go out of play until it returns either via destruction of different dimension gate or any other method of return to play cards, i am sure i have seen this on ronin as thats where i got the idea of using it, but today during a duel it was called into question by a lv1 judge, he said it was the same deal as creature swap vs horus i.e it wont work, is that right? i have tried to find anything to confirm or deny this but i am coming up empty.

This is not the same as Creature Swap. Creature Swap can still select Horus, but he wont switch sides and the effect Disappears, so it still attempts to resolve, but since no monster switches sides, it Disappears.

EDIT: Different Dimension Gate says pick 2 monsters to be removed from play. You select Horus LV6 and one of your opponent's monsters. When the effect resolves, only your opponents monster is removed from play since Horus LV6 is unaffected.

Since DDG selects monsters at activation, it doesnt matter if you dont have a eligible monster at resolution. Timing was correctly applied and the effect will go through.

yeah thats virtually what i said, i am just looking to see if the ruling still exist so i can print it off and then staple it to his fething head for being a f$%k head
