I was just on the ude forums and saw a request from some italian kid to have cyber-stein and return from a different dimension banned for april 1st.

Struck me as kinda funny. I mean these cards are very situational and cat a fair amount to pull off. Kinda makes me wonder what reasons the guy has for asking for them to be banned.

I mean i dont like them. In the wrong decks and hands they scare me to my very inner core. But i can, have and will many times over, beat them to the ground. The cards themselves have good effects but if you manage to stop them from getting exactly what they want then it leaves them open for many many kinds of hurt.

Ever bottomless a BEUD when summoned via cyber-stein? The look on the other guys face is priceless.
 
I think that you're right, just because they can be scary somtimes does not mean that you ban them because you don't want to deal with them, it means you pump up your deck to protect you even more. =D
 
maybe he was like me after my austin regionals, which i got beat by 2 different people running Cyber-Stein otk, i didn't have anything sided for it cuz i forgot about it and i wanted them to be banned so bad but after i got out of that super hot comic book store (where the regionals was being held at) i knew that it was just lady luck leaving me for the other guy :cog_cryin
 
Yeah but by his logic all otk decks were killing the game so even if they did ban cyber and RFDD there would still be more otk decks. If you banned all the cards used in otk decks you would have to ban half the cards in the game. its just ludicrous.

I think that it is somewhat smart to bad some cards, but only to make Yu-gi-oh players think and work harder to make a great deck, but to ban otk cards is stupid because they're the cards that make most players work hard.
 
Its not just that. You see its possible to get a OTK with some of the weakest monsters in the game. if its possible to do this then by this guys logic they should be banned. Therefor pretty much all cards must be banned. thats what i find ludacrous.

I know certain cards need to be banned cos their effect makes them too powerful in the wrong hands ie most people. Some cards though dont need to be banned they just need to be limited cos their effect isnt actually that good its just they get overused.

yup i agree with u all the way cuz i got a Hero Kid otk deck :duel_yes_(they never c it coming) and why would u ban Hero Kid its 300 atk 600 def no way he can become broken with his effect just fun to play with
 
Some people are so stuck in their little world that they think they are Yugi and they belive in the Heart of the Cards so bad that when somebody comes along and OTK's them they get a mean wake up call.

to bad for them not the OTK players problem its their for not preparing for it.

there will be Favorable matches and Non Favorable matches, just pray that you get all your Favorable matches and win some monie :D lol
 
That Cyberstein ban is valid to a point, but its not as rampant as say something like LT or MagSci and its probably just as consistent, depending on the sides which I am guessing will probably be Roar, or Judgment.
