Kinetic Soldier and Limiter Removal

I'm just wanting to get this one strait in my head.

Senario:
Player A contols 1 face-up atk. pos. "Kinetic Soldier" at 1350 atk

Player B controls 1 face-up atk. pos. "Command Knight" at 1600 atk

Player A enters Battle Phase - no activations at this time
- - Player A enters Battle Step
- - - Announces attack with Kinetic Soldier and targets Command Knight
- - - No activations at this time

- - Enters Damage Step
- - - Player A activates Limiter Removal, no chains by either player
- - - - Resolves: Doubles current atk of Kinetic Soldier to 2700
- - - Damage Calculation begins
- - - - Effect of Kinetic Soldier triggers, increases attack and def. by 2000 points (now at 4700 atk)
- - - - Calculate and apply damage (4700 - 1600 = 3100 points damage to Player B)

That's how I see it as playing out. The Rule Book (page 30) is pretty clear that attack or def. modifing Quick-Play Spell and Trap cards can only be used prior to calculation of damage, so it is there that Limiter Removal must be activated. The effect of Kinetic Soldier is also specific that you apply the effect durring "damage calculation."

So, is there any way for somebody to wait until the effect of Kinetic Soldier has resolved and THEN activate Limiter Removal for a net attack of 6700? (thinking not, but want to be sure)

No, I don't believe so. Maybe this example could help. (IFL = Injection Fairy Lily)

-Damage Step- IFL vs IFL

Turn Player: wishes not to increase the ATK of IFL
Defending Player: wishes to increase the ATK of IFL

at this point Damage Calculation must take place and the Turn Player i believe can no longer activate IFL effect because the chance was passed up.

at the point of "calculation" is when "calculation" is taking place, nothing can interupt, exept effects that activate in "damage calculation"
so i dont think you can play Limiter Removal during Damage Calculation.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

From what I know, in the case of IFL vs IFL, the turn player has the chance to either start his/her effect or pass priority to the opponent. The opponent then can either activate his/her effect or pass the priority again to the turn player. If the opponent passes the priority again to the turn player (both decided not to activate IFL's effect before) then the turn player must either activate the effect or pass. If he/she passes then he/she can not activate IFL's effect anymore for this Battle Step.

Now for Kinetic Soldier vs. Limiter Removal, we know that opponent has the ability to start multiple chain on Battle Phase. Maybe this applies to the turn player too. Turn Player waits for KS for his effect to resolve on the first chain, then start a second chain link by activating Limiter Removal. Then wooow! 6700 ATK.

That question was asked in the mailing list and while conceptually I would agree that what you said makes sense, they ruled that "Limiter Remover" only doubled the base ATK of "Kinetic Soldier" with the 2000 bonus added after that.

I thought there were very few cards that can actually activate in the damage phase in the first place. If this is the case, then the player with wall will only decrease the attack first and then lily gets the effect. <-Is that correct?
