seeing how as i never get to go to these kind of things...HOW DID YOU GUYS WHO WENT TO THE PRE-RELEASE LIKE IT??? what new cards and stuff did u guys get, and most of all what was the promo card they gave you?

The promo card was Hidden Soldiers. Ours went really smoothly. We've got our roles down to a science, so we get the initial push through pretty quickly, and then are able to accommodate repeat customers. We stopped advertising any "official" events other than open dueling, but we were able to run 8-man Sealed single elimination tournaments starting around noon. Simon Key pulled Chimaeratech Overdragon, lucky so and so that he is. That card is going to be crazy broken in September, and will probably be restricted (along with Future Fusion and Overload Fusion) in October.

Hidden Soldiers
Trap Card
Activate only when your opponent Normal Summons or Flip Summons a monster. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower DARK monster from your hand.

Immediately they're all over eBay.com. And well done for getting it, unlike everyone else in the world. I'm not resentful.

ahh..thats actually pretty good...that'll come in handy for macro decks or tomato decks...any good pulls u guys got..already heard about simon getting the Chimeratech Overdragon..a.k.a the beast of evil...what did u all get?

I sold my POTD to a dealer for $70, and was happy. I got 3X Mausoleum and 3X Defender from my friend though, I want to try some things out with those cards.

I played in St. Louis, in one of the 16 person tourneys with the new cards. Virtually everyone was running multiple d-hero defenders, and most duels came down to deckouts. The easiest (hah!) way to get rid of them was to flip an alien, given them an A-token, then use brainwashing ray to take control of them before tributing them. Getting past their 2700 defence was virtually impossible otherwise unless you were lucky enough to get a Tyranno.

Dinosaurs are fun, and the Neo spatians are quite interesting.

I managed to pull everything except POD-032 and POD-033 (haven't looked them up yet but I'm assuming they're rusions) from the judge comp. I recieved. Plenty of multiples if anyone has those and are willing to trade.

The event went smoothly though attendance was down about 10% due to the time of year. I could see it down mostly from lack of younger players who were likely involved in summer sports / vacations.

Probably me. I'm attending my very first Sneak Preview event in a couple of hours. I'll let you know how it went.

I had 1 good pull: Ultra Chimera Overtechdragon, but out of 44 people or so, there were 3 of them, so it wasn't that rare. The others weren't anygood. Too bad we didn't receive the promo card :(

I managed to get an Ultimate Tyranno, a D-Hero Dogma, a couple of Neo Spaces and an Ultimate Rare Supercharge.

My first match I lost the first duel and won the second. Time was called, and my opponent pulled out a Submarineroid on me at the start of the third duel to win the match. The next three matches I played I won all the duels of, half of them because I'd whipped out my Ultimate Tyranno. I came 9th out of about 30, and gained an extra pack as a prize, inside which was a Future Fusion (and 8 other cards, naturally).

Not bad, for my very first tournament. I enjoyed it. Except for the Submarineroid.

I saw a Chimeratech Overdragon and an Ultimate Rare Super Vehicroid Jombo Drill (unusable there, obviously), amongst several other cards. I did face a Space Beast Gangil (or whatever it was called) a couple of times, but managed to get over them by using my opponent's Mausoleum to bring out my Tyranno. One duel I forgot about my opponent's Mausoleum, and struggled through while facing a Gangil and an E-Hero Neos. I still managed, though.

But yes. Fun. Except Submarineroid.

haha this makes me even more curious....so u play sealed matches at pre-releases right? how does like the sealed game differ from a constructed game other than the fact that you can only use cards u get from boosters? i remember hearing you could only have 20 cards in a deck, but like, is the lp count different or what else?

As I said, I've only ever been to 1 Yu-Gi-Oh! event, and that was it. I wouldn't know about constructed games. What's a constructed game? Use your own Deck? Or is it the "Take one, pass the rest on" thing?

There was a 20 card minimum for the Decks, and as many copies of cards could be used as the player wanted. Each player got 5 packs, and no trading was allowed until the end of the tournament (although I'm sure some happened before then). We played with 8000 Life Points each. (I only used about 25 in the end, mostly because the others I couldn't use.) It was a Swiss-style tournament, and I'm beginning to learn what that means now.

I enjoyed using The Paths of Destiny (I had 2), although my opponent also kept gaining the Life Points too. Brainwashing Beam was also fun (the 1 time I managed to use it), when I got an opponent's Gangil and sacrificed it and another monster for my Tyranno. My Deck had about 25 cards in it, 4 of which were Traps and the rest were Monsters.

I suppose the only thing that went wrong was that I forgot about D-Hero Defender's effect, as did all my opponents. They never drew, and neither did I when I was opposing one. I only remembered right at the end, after all the dueling had been done. Still, can't change time. Wish I could, though (not that I'd specifically change that, of course; I have other things in mind).
