Silent Swordsman LV7 v.s. Equip/Continuous/Field Spell Cards

Ok, someone out of the blue asked me this question on AIM and I couldn't find any information on it.

If Player A Special Summons Silent Swordsman LV7 onto the field with Level Limit - Area B already activated, wouldn't LV7 switch to defense or would Level Limit be negated?

This goes for cards like Necrovalley, Axe of Despair, Big Bang Shot, etc.

Would it negate those cards entirely? That's where my confusion started because I'm wondering if an already activated Equip/Field/Continuous Spell card is on the field that the effect would be negated according to LV7's text. Not sure on this though.

No, it negates the "effects" of Spell Cards "activated on the field" (non-continuous) OR "that are face-up on the field" (continuous) exactly like Imperial Order.

Even though the text may not be that specific, that is how it works.

Destroying a non-continuous Spell Card before the effect resolves does not change this.

Skill Drain should never be compared to SSLV7/Spell Canceller/IO/Royal Decree/Jinzo etc. as it is a unique effect on it's own.

And that is what I'm saying. SSLV7 only negates effects of spells on the field. If I send them to the grave, they will resolve properly.

You cant sent "Pot of Greed" from the Field to the Graveyard and expect it to activate. It activates in your Spell and Trap Zone and the effect resolves there as well, even under normal conditions with Emergency Provisions NOT being negated.
