Sprit Barrier

I feel a little silly asking this, but I'm rusty on my "steps of the battle phase".

If I have a face up Spirit Barrier, and someone attacks my face up attack position monster (let's say, Enraged Battle Ox) with their larger monster (let's say, Berserk Gorilla). Damage calculation happens before the monsters are sent to the graveyard (as I remember it), so since I still have a monster on the field (EBO) at damage calculation, wouldn't Spirit Barrier prevent me from losing LP? I seriously should know this, but no one plays Spirit Barrier, and I can't find it on any sites.

Your assumption is correct. The monster destroyed in battle does not leave the field until after damage calculation so Spirit Barrier will keep you from taking battle damage. (until the next attack if you do not have a monster remaining on the field)
